October has arrived! If you aren’t headed out to Dallas for the famous State Fair of Texas, check out what we’ve got going on closer to home. With lots of affordable and family-friendly activities, it’s a great time to enjoy this pleasant weather while it lasts!

Goodguys 22nd Lone Star National

If you’re into hot rods or just looking for something different this weekend, bring the family out to the Texas Motor Speedway for some cool cars, live music, and entertainment for the kids (plus, kids under 6 get in free)!

Central Market Live Music—Sean Russell, 6-9pm

Enjoy a cool combination of Indie Pop and Folk Rock on the patio.


American Miniature Horse – World Championship Show, through October 4

This weekend is your last chance to come on out to the Will Rogers Center and learn more about “one of the world’s fastest growing equine associations”.

Saturday, October 4:


Lake Worth Monster Bash—10am-2pm

Come celebrate 45 years of the Lake Worth Monster with lots of activities including bison viewing, canoeing, live music, games, guided interpretive hikes and storytelling. Kids under 3 get in free!


Home Depot Kids Workshops—EMS Truck, 9am-12pm

Tired of Saturday morning cartoons? Entertain the kids with a free class at Home Depot where they will learn to make their own toy EMT Truck!


Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio, 1-1:45pm

Bring your kids by to learn about “Bumpy, Quishy, Gritty Landscapes”; the class is free but arrive early—only 20 children per class! Stick around afterward for a free tour of the Kimbell’s Permanent Collection starting at 2pm.


Central Market Live Music—Zach Seth Band, 5:30-9pm

Stop by and enjoy some eats, drinks and live music on the patio with the Zach Seth Band as they perform some Texas Country.


Fort Worth Food Truck Park Live Music—Jett Alan Band, 6:30pm

Relax in the park with your choice of a variety of the day’s six food trucks and some live music.


Fort Worth Museum of Science and History—Star Party, dusk-10:30pm
