Paraplegic veteran surprises his new wife with a first dance neither of them will ever forget
Sgt. Joey Johnson was determined to honor his new wife with the first dance of her dreams. The Afganistan veteran is confined to a wheelchair after injuring his spine in a motorcycle accident just four months after meeting Michelle. With the help of friends, he was able to rig up system of supports, allowing him to stand tall and hold her as the two of them enjoyed their first dance as a married couple.
The new Mrs. Johnson told ABC News “If you know Joey, he cannot keep a secret…I never knew how special our day would really be.”
A round of applause for Sgt. Johnson, a man determined to give his bride the wedding of her dreams.
