Celebrate the museum’s new George Catlin Exhibit! Participants will spend time considering the artist’s role as recorder before mass photography, documenting the great American West, through sketches and painting. Docent guided tour includes discussion of traveling artists in the 1800s and how the act of documenting what they saw contributes to our American History today. Participants will then move to the studio classroom to create their very own scene in paint inspired by the collection.
